This is another of our Armchair tours, This time its the City of Riga, The capital of Latvia, in the Baltic. The Video shows some of the City`s highlights, like the World War One Zeppelin pens, many statues, and even the World Famous Riga Cats. We then end up at the Military Museum the largest in Latvia, that shows the history of the nation . The Museum was started in 1916 and is based in the Powder Tower in the old part of Riga. There are some great displays of USSR and German Third Reich Militaria, badges, flags and awards as well as a selection of Latvian Militaria, including Weapons, Awards, Swords, Insignia and Pilots badges.
