(F582) A very scarce example of the Ofices badge for the RLB. In nice quality and condition and is maker marked on the reverse G BREHMER MARKNEU KIRCHEN GES GESCH. The correct title for this badge is Officials Badge of the National Air Raid Protection Union

  • (G889) A Badge of Merit in the Aircraft Industry. The badge is a pin back example and is Ges Gesch marked to the reverse. The white enamel to the shield is nice and clean and the badge itself is a nice clean crisp striking.

    (G1260) A nice example of an Aircraft Manufacturer's Pin of Honour. The pin is a textbook example as can be seen in the Cone book where a similar example is illustrated.     ASSOCIATION BADGES

    (J399) A nice and used German Cyclist Badge showing in enamels, the letters DRV in white over a black swastika that is superimposed over a bicycle wheel. The badge is maker marked to the reverse and has a stickpin fixing. The enamel is ok except for a chip to the bottom of the R making the letter look like a P. Other than this, the enamel is fine. The badge rates very rare and is priced for condition.

    (J1205) A DLRG Rescue Pin. The pin is bronze plated metal over base zinc. The pin was given before, during and after WWII and as such, they are hard items to pin down to date, although the fact that this one is on base zinc metal, I would assume it to be pre-WWII vintage.

    (J860) A Police Officer's Service Tie Pin to show this man was a serving police officer, when in civilian clothes etc. The badge is silvered over copper and shows wear and tear. Recently acquired from a French collector along with a French German badge. In very good condition

    (H660) An Enamel Badge showing two grasping hands with the wording above and below in silver "Deine Hand Dem Handwerk". Behind the hands is a swastika. This is all executed in silver on a red enamelled base. The silvering is nice and bright and there is no chipping to the enamel. The reverse is maker marked GBDA.

    (H477) A Stick Pin Membership Badge showing a steel helmet with an embossed swastika to it. It has been put forward that this is for the National Socialist Sympathiser's but it has also been stated it could be a steel helmet bund group. Either way, a nice and unusual badge to find.

    (G1183) A scarce Honour Badge of the Colonial bund showing a gilt eagle holding the colonialbund shield. The badge has no enamel damage and is shown with the rightup from the book "One People, One Reich" by J R Cone. It is still not known what these rare badges were given for, but it is known they came in bronze, silver and gilt grades and may well have replaced the colonial elephant badge. Scarce to find.

    (H727) A Membership Badge for the German Colonies being a nice example with no enamel damage. The pin is marked Ges Gesch and has an R trade mark. There is no enamel damageand in very good condition.

    (F891) A National Socialist Kraft Badge showing a rising swastika over some green mountains with a coat of arms etc to the base. The badge is shown in the book "Katalog Der Abzeichen Deutscher Organisationen 1871-1945" on page 100-101 and lists the value then at 280 dm. The catalogue is dated 1997. Maker marked to the reverse for the maker Hoffstatter Bonn. The enamel, apart from a minor chip to the right hand side of the rising sun, as can be seen from the scan, is in lovely condition. Considerably reduced because of the minor chip Vgc.

    (G1060) A scarce German Membership Badge for the Riechsverband der Wirtschaftsleiter. The badge shows a sailing ship superimposed over a white swastika on a red background with the wording around the edge. There is no enamel damage and the reverse of the badge is maker marked.

    POLITICAL BADGES

    (G801) A very strange and unusual NSDAP Party Badge being what looks like a half finished example with the white infill not being applied. The badge has a pin fixing to the reverse for a tie fitting or some such and not the normal spring catch fitting. Where the white infill would have been, it has been silvered, giving a rather striking appearance. Very unsual to find.

    (H709) A Party Badge for the Opferring Elsass. In zinc metal, the badge is part of the Germans outside of the Reich in the Lothringen part of the French borders. A very scarce badge to find. The badge is maker marked to the reverse. Complete with a nice pin fitting. Scarce to find.

    (H710) A small size cultural Enamel Badge showing a black triangle with a swastika on it and above that, a winged helmet. The badge is described as a Kampf Bund fur Deutsch Kultur ( Kfdk) and is in very nice condition. Quite a scarce badge to find, due to size etc.

    (J539) A nice and scarce to find button studded NSDAP Party Badge maker marked RZM M1/141 to the reverse in raised letters. The enamel is in very good condition with no chips etc.

    (J576) An NSDAP Party Badge in very good condition but with a slight enamel chip to the very extreme on the edge. The badge is scarce in the fact that it has the full maker's trade name for Steinhauer & Luck in raised letters to the reverse dating the badge before the RZM came in. The badge is in very good condition other than the stated chip. Scarce to find an early fully marked example. Recently picked up in the Baltic.

    (J669) An NSDAP Party Badge in enamel. The badge has had a ding to it as can be seen from the scan, with a collision mark on the white enamel near the border. This is very minuscule and can only just be detected without a glass. The badge is marked Ges Gesch to the reverse. In nice condition Priced for condition.

    (J1647) An NSDAP Party Badge being the type with a stickpin fixing to the reverse. The reverse is plain which probably means that the badge is one of the first early originals used before Hitler came to power in 1933. Nice enamel work with no damage, the badge is in very good condition and is a nice scarce variant, not often encountered nowadays.

    (J1660) A nice used and worn NSDAP Party Membership Badge. The badge has has a tiny enamel chip to it and a couple of scratches but this is only detectable under a glass, and is of nice enamel work. The reverse is maker marked RZM M1/14 and it has it's spring clip pin fixing intact, although this has been twisted when it was removed. A nice badge to find and a more scarce maker.

    (J1783) A Nice example of an Early NSDAP Party Membership Badge in very nice condition. The badge is Maker Marked RZM M1/25 to the reverse in raised digits. The pin hinge plate is also marked Ges Gesch. There is no enamel damaged to the badge and shows only minor wear and tear. A nice to find badge.

    (J1784) A Nice clean example of an Early NSDAP Party Membership Badge Maker Marked RZM M1/101 on the reverse in raised digits. There is some minor rust staining to the reverse, but nothing serious. The enamelling is nice and clean and unchipped and as such, a nice to find badge.

    (J1786) A Mini NSDAP Party Membership Badge that appears to have been poorly soldered although this may possibly have been a repair or strengthener. The badge has nice enamel work, although there is a slight knock to it but nothing too serious. In very good condition and with a tie pin fixing.

    (J1812) A nice example of an early maker marked in full, NSDAP Party Badge by the firm of Deschler und Sohn Ges Gesch and marked as such. The badge shows no enamel damage but has wear and tear as is to be expected. Nice to find an early pre-badge as most party badges found nowadays are RZM marked, so finding a full trade name is hard going.

    LABOUR BADGES

    (F338) A nice enamelled badge showing 2 hands clasping over a swastika and with the wording DEINE HAND DEM HANDWORK.. There is no enamel damage to the badge which is of nice pale red enamel and maker marked on the reverse GBDA GES GESCH.

    (G251) A DAF/Handworkers Day Pin showing both emblems mounted onto a piece of semi precious amber. To the base is a little card with the wording GARANTIERT ECHT BERNSTEIN N B J .The piece is very nice and unusual.

    (J1028) A DAF Membership Badge consisting of a tie pin fixing that is rifled, fixed to a swastika that is centralised in a circle with a cogwheel edge. The badge is RZM marked to the reverse and is slightly dished. In nice overall condition, the badge was worn on the lapel of those members of the DAF in civilian attire. Nice to find.

    OLD COMRADES BADGES

    (F865) An NSKOV Old Comrades Shooting Award in gilt. This shows the NSKOV Iron Cross and swastika on an oak leaf wreath with two crossed rifles behind. Nice condition in gilt metal. Scarce to find.

    (F867) An Old Comrades stick pin for 25 years service in the Reich Streubund being of the following design; showing an Iron Cross with a red centre and silver swastika, two crossed swords and a gilt 25 to the base. The reverse is maker marked "GANTE BERLINS GES GESCH". Nice quality.

Around the edge is a sprig of oak leaves. The badge is maker marked Ges Gesch 5. In very good condition with no enamel damage, nice to find.

    (H1237) A nice example of the NSKOV Badge of Merit. The badge is of standard design and construction and has an oak leaf border around the edge and then it has a white border, in a diamond shape, encompassing the NSKOV emblem. Very scarce to find, it has not been established what these borders signify.

    (J1877) A very nice gilt and enamelled Imperial German Navy Old Comrades Badge. The badge is in very nice condition and finely enamelled. There is no enamel damage to the badge. An illustration of same can be found in the book Heering-Husken Katalog der Abzeichen deutscher Organisationen 1871-1945 on page 73 along with a write up and price on page 72 of 95 DM back in 1997.

    (D1167) A Red cross senior helper's brooch, consisting of a large circular badge with a bordered swastika and the wording in silver that translates as German Red Cross, senior helper's badge. This is the type listed as type 3 by some people. The badge has no enamel damage and is quite scarce.

    (H730) A nice example of the German Red Cross Larger size Membership Badge, showing a black eagle with a swastika to it's chest, holding a red cross. The badge is listed as the type 4 style which was used between 1939-45 and the reverse is maker marked Ges Gesch. There is no enamel damage to the award.

    (H1270) A nice larger size Red Cross Pin On Membership Badge that shows an enamel repair to the red cross. The badge also shows a pin repair to the reverse and is well marked, being the manufacturer's mark of OLC within a diamond, which is for the firm of Overhoff & Cie Ludenscheid. This is also marked to the reverse confirming this trade mark to this firm. Priced for condition

    (J1241) A German Red Cross Helper's Badge in very good condition and with only minor enamel damage to one side as can be seen from the scan. Other than this, in good condition and maker marked ELM to the reverse. Recently acquired from a German antique shop

    (J1548) A nice example of a Red Cross Cap Badge. The badge is stylised on the membership badge, the badge has no enamel damage and is complete with both reverse pins for affixing it to a cap. Nice to find.

    SS MEMBERSHIP BADGES

    (F713) A small size SS Membership pin that has had a slight chink into the top of the award. This is not noticable unless you really look at it. The pin is the one that was issued with an Ausweiss and has the number "187288" stamped into the reverse as well as the maker's name of "Hoffstatter Bonn, Ges Gesch" stamped into the reverse Very hard to find now, these pins were worn on civilian clothes to denote membership of the SS and as such, were discarded and destroyed at the end of the war when the SS became an illegal organisation.

    (J1855) A rare example of a German Memel Membership Pin for the SS. This is for those in civilian wear and is shown in the book Foreign Legions of the Third Reich Vol 4 on page 216 where an illustration is shown and it states this is for the Memel Ordnung Sdienst. Also, the pin is featured in the German publication Heering Husken Katalog der Abzeichen deutscher Organisationen 1871-1945 on page 208. Although there is no picture, the title is there and it showed it had a value of 800DM back in 1997. The order service memels equivalent to the German Allgemeine SS. Very rare to find, the badge is maker marked to the reverse H.Schmidt Ludenscheid. There is no enamel damage to the pin. The pin has a gilt wreath around the shield. Rare to find.

    WOMANS BADGES & AWARD BADGES

    (B1384) A near mint female Driver's Badge for the "NSKK. The badge is constructed of zinc and has as it's main design, a black steering wheel with a central boss with a swastika on it, and three arms radiating out of it. Below that is the wording KREIGSKRAFT FAHRERIN. An example of this is shown in the book "NSKK /NSFK " by John R. Angolia and David Littlejohn.

    (E245) A Womans/Youth movement Brooch having the Victory Rune impressed to it. Made from blackened brass, the award is in vgc. I haven't tried to identify this but believe it to be a woman's brooch from the early pre years of party rule. In vgc

    (F299) A rare brooch pin on badge as given to German female auxillaries in service for the German navy. The badge is made in heavy bronzed alloy and retains some of the original gilding to the reverse. Complete with its brooch pin fitting. In vgc

    (F580) A Badge of the Lutheran Woman's Aid, a religious based organisation consisting of a blue enamelled square with a white religious Cross to the centre with the wording EVANGELISCHE FRAUEN HILFE. In near mint condition.

    (G1458) A Female RAD Throat Badge being the one with the stylised edge, the swastika in the centre above the ears of corn. The badge has the nice brooch fitting to the reverse and appears to have the remains of gold wash to it. The badge is also maker marked J.B.U.CO. The badge was given for leadership and service to the RAD.

    (H725) A unmottoe'd Stick Pin Badge for the RAD for commemoration of service. The badge is the male version and shows a shovel with black ears of corn on a white background with a red edging.The pin is maker marked to the reverse and is in very good condition with no enamel damage

    (J1082) A Woman's Brooch being the commemorative brooch of the RADwj. The badge is of standard design and construction and maker marked to the reverse of JB & Co. It is a silver coloured metal and therefore I would say it is the silver grade. Given to women who had retired from the female RAD. In very good condition. Recently discovered in an old tin in a garage by the subsequent house owner.

    (J1400) A nice example of a German Nat Soz Frauenschaft Badge. The badge is of standard construction with the title to the top in gold on white with a triangle shape pointing down and a red swastika to the centre. The reverse is maker marked RZM M1/13. There are some enamel chips and cracks to the award to the bottom of the white arm and a couple of other minor dings as can be seen from the scan. Priced for condition

    (J1836) A nice example of an unusual RAD Badge. The badge at first glance, looks like an SA Sports Badge type award, but has around the edge the following wording; Kriegserntedank an die Bauerin Landesbauernschaft Bayern. It would appear that the badge is in fact a RAD Harvest Badge. The reverse has been gilded whereas the front, although once gilded, has now faded grey. The badge has a nice maker's name on the hinge plate. An unusual item in very nice condition.
