U- BOAT WAR BADGES Instituted 13.10.193
(F441) A U Boat Badge in very good condition, The badge has a nice amount of finish and is unmarked. There are a couple of darkened patches to the wreath and boat but nothing too bad. There are a couple on the reverse too. The badge is unmarked and has a solid swastika. GBP £225.00 (UK Pounds) |
(H1540) A very interesting U-Boat Badge that appears to have been silvered? This is only the second time I have come across this maker, although the badge is unmarked.. It follows the die design of the Maybauer. The badge is of early construction. This was part of a small collection of WW2 badges that were collected in Europe in 1945 by a British Marine who left them to his brother upon his death. These were in time passed down to the Marines nephew. The British Marine was in the first wave of allied soldiers into Berlin after the Russian withdrawal. These items have only just come onto the market. GBP £400.00 (UK Pounds)
(J1401) A nice example of a used and worn U Boat Badge. The badge has approximately 70% of it's gilt finish remaining. It is the type with a solid swastika and the eagles chest that is heart shaped. There are no maker marks to the award that I can see, but the eagle's head makes it look more like and L/15 type. GBP £225.00 (UK Pounds)

U- BOAT CLASPS Instituted 15.5.1944
Known Makers Schwerin,in two forms
(J1517) A nice used example of the U-Boat Clasp in Bronze in good condition. The clasp has had some repair and restoration work done to it, with a bronze fluid applied over it. Other than this, it looks very very good. The clasp is a standard 2nd pattern type with a cast in hinge and counter sunk hook with a steel fluted pin fixed to the badge.
Becoming increasingly hard to acquire. The badge has been professionally restored. Priced for that at approx ½ value. GBP £550.00 (UK Pounds)

NAVY BATTLE CLASPS Instituted 19.11.1944
(K3) A Nice example of a field made German Navy Marine Front Clasp in Bronze. The clasp is hollow struck in copper and is in very nice condition. These clasps were basically on board ships etc at the end of and after the war and issued to the German troops on aboard such vessels. The clasp is in very nice condition and is relatively well made for such an award. Scarce to find. GBP £325.00 (UK Pounds)

DESTROYER WAR BADGES Instituted 4.6.1940
(J226) A nice mid war example of a Destroyer badge by the well known maker S.H.u.Co. The badge has approximately only 10% of it's gilt finish intact and is a mid to late war zinc example. The badge though is of nice quality and condition. This is maker marked to the reverse with S.H.u.Co. In raised lettering. This is a textbook example. VGC. GBP £150.00 (UK Pounds)
MINESWEEPER & SUB CHASER WAR
BADGES Instituted 31.8.1940
(J97) A very rare example of a nice early quality Minesweeper Award. The badge is slightly convexed and is maker marked RSS to the base. The badge shows moderate wear and tear but retains virtually all of it's original silver and gilt finish. One of the more scarce marker's to acquire. GBP £200.00 (UK Pounds)
(J193) An unmarked mid to late war Minesweeper badge that has had it's original finish absorbed into the badge. The badge is slightly convexed and has a nice pin and hinge soldered to the reverse. The badge has the initials MS or KS scratched into the reverse. GBP £95.00 (UK Pounds)
(J225) A Minesweeper Badge, the type with the Horizontal Pin. The badge is a near mint example although it's top hook has been snapped off at some time. The reverse shows also the original factory lacquer and the front of the award shows where the original gilt has turned silver giving it a pleasing two toned effect to the whole badge. GBP £95.00 (UK Pounds)
(J228) A Minesweeper Badge being of mid war construction with a gilt wreath which is approximately 85% intact, and a silver centre, which has now turned a dull grey. The badge has it's original pin and hinge fitting although the hook is bent over to the side which was possibly done by its owner to make it more secure on the tunic. A nice quality badge being unmarked. GBP £95.00 (UK Pounds)
(J678) A Superb early Minesweeper Badge by the premier maker Schwerin and marked as such in two lines in the usual way on the reverse. The badge retains virtually all of it's full gilt and oxidised finish. One of the best examples we have had in a long time. If you want one of these, don't let this one get away, it will grace any collection. GBP £399.00 (UK Pounds)
(J880) A nice mid war Minesweeper Badge being unmarked but attributed to the Forster and Bath manufacturer's, as the badge has the pin and hinge configuration used by this
company. The badge retains some of it's original gilded and silvered finish and appears to be an unissued but faded example. With gilt being seen in the high spots, on parts of
the badge. This said, the badge is very attractive and given to German sailors who risked their lives daily to destroy mines in the Baltic and North Sea etc. Usually in Ad Hock
ships that were commandered and used for these purposes. The badge is in very good to near mint but toned condition. GBP £99.00 (UK Pounds)
(J1275) A Minesweeper Badge being a midwar example with a nice silver explosion on a darkened sea with silver highlights, encompassed by a gilt wreath with an eagle holding a swastika to the top. The badge has a nice needle pin fixing to the reverse with a countersunk hinge and hook to the back. The badge also has the trademark AS within a triangle and the overall condition of the badge is very good, with virtually all it's finish although this has faded in places. GBP £150.00 (UK Pounds)
(J1630) A scarce example of the WH Maker Marked Minesweeper Badge. The badge is marked WH within an oval to the pin and it has been put forward that this is the maker Walter & Henlein. The unusual thing on this badge is that this mark is also found on the underside of the pin and reads HW. The badge is of nice quality and construction and still retains virtually 95% of it's original finish to the front, with the C being a nice oxidised grey colour, the silver explosion raising out of the water, and a nice gilt wreath, encompassing the main design. To the reverse, the silver has lifted in spots and places, as can be seen, but still a nice example of a seldom encountered maker. GBP £175.00 (UK Pounds)

AUXILLARY CRUISER WAR BADGES Instituted 24.4.1941
(F407) A very rare to find Auxiliary Cruiser badge being the one piece stamped semi
scooped out style maker marked to the reverse in raised letters "Ausgef B. Wilhelm".
The badge has a separately applied hinge and hook and these have rusted closed although you
can still spring the pin open and closed. The zinc badge has lost most of it's original
gilded finish and the silver globe has also darkened. Very few of these rare maker marked
badges have turned up over the years. Very nice to find.
GBP £500.00 (UK Pounds) |

(J1685) A late war High Seas Fleet Badge by the premier maker Schwerin Berlin and maker marked as such. The badge retains some of it's original finish although this has been

The badge retains a high percentage of it's original gilt finish with frosting and burnishing still showing through. The badge has a countersunk hinge being the ball type and a nice hook which again is countersunk. The badge has a nice needle pin fixing and the RS & S is raised and to the reverse of the ship. A very nice example of a rare maker. GBP £299.00 (UK Pounds)
(J1707) A Very Nice High Seas Fleet Badge by the maker RS & S and marked as such to the reverse. The badge is a textbook example of this maker's high seas fleet award and has the wide tapered pin with the classic ball hinge countersunk into the back of the badge and countersunk hook. E BOAT BADGES Instituted 30.5.1941 For the First patterns and 1943
for the 2nd patterns
(J395) A textbook example (and featuring in one) E Boat Badge by the maker RS. The badge retains most of it's original lacquered finish and has faded over the years which is to be expected. This actual badge features in the book "German Combat Awards 1935-1945 by Alan Beadle on page 187 as item number 163. Nice to find a badge used in an article/book. A very nice badge. GBP £425.00 (UK Pounds)
(J1455) A very nice example of the French Made 1st Pattern E Boat Badge. To begin, there is one downside to this badge. The top hook as is often the case with these awards, has detatched and been lost. Now for the pluses. The badge retains virtually all of it's original finish, of gilt, silver and grey. The award has the standard accepted French pattern of hinge, and would have been classed as virtually mint had it not been for the down point. Scarce to acquire a 1st pattern E-boat Badge. GBP £375.00 (UK Pounds)
(J1675) A nice used and worn E-Boat Badge 1st Pattern. The badge is nice in the fact that it is an LDO private purchase type and maker marked No. 21. The badge has had the top hook knocked off at some time but still retains the horizontal pin, hinge and hook. Of nice mid war construction, the badge retains a high percentage of it's original silvered and gilded finish. Exceedingly hard to find, most badges encountered are the Schwerin type, so it is nice to come across a different maker. GBP £799.00 (UK Pounds)
(J1830) A nice example of a Second Pattern E-Boat Badge by the well known maker Schwerin and marked as such in two lines in raised blocked letters to the reverse. The badge has a nice cut out swastika for the boat and cut out deck flag. The silver plating to the boat is nice although this has bubbled which is to be expected with this type of badge being manufactured from fine zinc with a nice plating applied. The gilt wreath is also nice as is the blued sea and steeled keel of the boat. The badge is a textbook example of this type and has a nice horizontal pin, hinge and top hook fitted. Very nice to find. Not mint but very very good. GBP £475.00 (UK Pounds)
(K44) An Interesting example of what is termed the French manufactured E Boat 1st Pattern. The badge follows the design of the original German 1st Pattern and is nicely constructed with a top hook and horizontal pin. The badge is of early quality construction and is the type illustrated in the Niemann Price Guide for German Awards 1871-1945 on page 907, where a similar example can be seen that has the same die faults as the one illustrated. Niemann's price guide estimates it's value at 400 euros in 2008. GBP £550.00 (UK Pounds)

COASTAL FLAK WAR BADGES Instituted on 24.6.1941
- (E1025) A believed French made, Coastal Artillary badge. The badge is of zinc construction and has lost virtually
all of it's original gilt and silvered finish. The top hook is also missing but the quality of the die striking is
very good and it still has it's original hook and French type of pin. All in all, a scarce variation to acquire.
GBP £200.00 (UK Pounds) |

(G1218)A mid to late war nicely made Coastal Artiliary Badge By the Premier Maker Schwerin Berlin. The badge is marked as such in two lines in raised letters. Nice quality as you would expect from such a maker. Becoming hard to find. GBP £150.00 (UK Pounds) |
