(E1470) A nice early U-boat badge being unmarked and with a cut out swastika. Very similar in design to a
Schwerin with the features often associated with the said maker. I am not however, 100% sure it is a Schwerin example.
The badge has a very nice gilded finish still intact with burnished highlights and gilded lowlights. A very
attractive badge. GBP £275.00 (UK Pounds) |
(F441) A U Boat Badge in very good condition, The badge has a nice amount of finish and is unmarked. There are a

(A2826) A rare brooch pin on badge as given to German
female auxillaries in service for the German navy. The badge is made in heavy
bronzed alloy and retains some of the original gilding to the reverse.
Complete with its brooch pin fitting. In vgc
GBP £160.00 (UK Pounds) |
(E1501) A Small Battle Units badge being the actual membership badge of this unit of a swordfish on a navy
blue backing. The badge is nicely embroidered on the patch and appears to have been unmounted and unworn. Superb
condition and a scarce to acquire badge. It came from a big collection in England awhile ago and the owner sent
in this e mail when I aquired it " I forgot earlier on, but I also have a couple of Kleinkampfverband patches.
I had three which I took over to Kassel to get Detlev to check them out for me. Unfortunately, the one with
just one Sword (with the white backing material) turned out to be fake, but Detlev was happy with the other
two. The e mail address of the Original owner will be provided to veryfiy this
statement if the purches so wishes GBP £275.00 (UK Pounds) |
(E1498) A handmade Navy Clasp. This is one of the countless variations that can be found, that appears to have been handmade by a very competant craftsman under field conditions. The clasp consists of a copper central oak leaf wreath with a brass navy button soldered into the centre of the device. To the reverse, there is a steel pin and hook
soldered to it giving it an attractive over all look. Re the Clasp, it came from a collection in England. There were two (both different, the other one being one piece), I still have the other one. The original owner I am told, loaned them to Ailsby for his first book (Combat Medals of the 3rd Reich) but as I don't have the book I can't confirm if its in it. The guy died last year and his collection which was pretty big by all accounts, was split up.
GBP £200.00 (UK Pounds) |
DESTROYER WAR BADGES Instituted 4.6.1940
|
(E411) A nice early used example of a Destroyer badge by the premier German Maker Schwerin.
The badge still retains a high proportion of it's gilt to the wreath and a large proportion of it's silvered
finish to the Destroyer. The badge has the maker's mark in raised capitals to the reverse of Schwerin Berlin 68.
All in all, a nice early war example In used but fine condition.A standard textbook example
GBP £250.00 00 (UK Pounds) |
(F1185) A nice Naval Destroyer Badge by the well known maker S.H.u.Co. The badge retains about 70% of it's original
finish and still has some factory lacquer in places on the prow of the Destroyer. The reverse is maker marked as said in
the usual form and the badge is a classic textbook example of this firm's work, with an illustration of this style in
the book "Forman's Price Guide 3rd Edition" on page 113. In very good condition.
GBP £165.00 (UK Pounds) |
(G175) An early Destroyers Award by the maker Schwerin and marked as such in the usual way. The badge is of standard construction and style and is an early tombak metal, with the wreath gilded and the destroyer silver plated and oxidised. The badge has been used and worn in service, and as such, shows genuine wear and tear. All in all a nice
example.. GBP £250.00 (UK Pounds) |
(G1349) A nice mid war Maker Marked Navy Destroyer badge. The badge is marked JFS in a square. This is for the maker Josef Feix Sohne, Gablonz. The badge is of mid war construction manufactured from fine zinc and retains approximately 85% of it's original finish. The badge is complete with it's top hook, pin and hinge and both the hooks and hinges are countersunk into the reverse in the usual form for this maker. Nice early Schwerin Destroyer badges have virtually disappeared from the market place and it is harder to acquire any navy badges now. Don't let this one get away!

(G1355) A mid to late war Minesweeper Award manufactured from fine zinc. The badge retains a high percentage of it's original finish with the sea and explosion in two different silver tones. The wreath which retains a high proportion of it's original gilt colour, has toned a chocolate bronze. GBP £95.00 (UK Pounds)

BLOCKADE BREAKERS WAR BADGES Instituted 1.4.1941
|
(F369) A mid to late war example of a zinc Blockade Breakers' Badge being unmarked. The badge retains a
high percentage of it's original silver and blackened finish and the badge is in very good condition although
I feel it has had a hook repair. Other than this, a nice condition badge and priced to reflect the possible
hook restoration.
GBP £125.00 (UK Pounds) |
(G629) A Blockade Runners Badge being a nice earlier style by the well known maker Schwering Berlin and marked as such in two lines in the usual manner. The badge has the usual toning to it but nothing serious and still retains the frosted and burnished eagle emblem with the high points burnished including the swastika. Very nice example. The badge has recently come from Hamburg direct from the family who had several relatives who served in the German Armed Forces and this is part of a grouping of items. These have never been in a collection. GBP £295.00 (UK Pounds) |

AUXILLARY CRUISER WAR BADGES Instituted 24.4.1941
|
(F407) A very rare to find Auxiliary Cruiser badge being the one piece stamped semi
scooped out style maker marked to the reverse in raised letters "Ausgef B. Wilhelm".
The badge has a separately applied hinge and hook and these have rusted closed although you
can still spring the pin open and closed. The zinc badge has lost most of it's original
gilded finish and the silver globe has also darkened. Very few of these rare maker marked
badges have turned up over the years. Very nice to find.
GBP £500.00 (UK Pounds) |
(G1352) A mid to late war example of an Auxillary Cruiser Badge by the well known maker FO, and marked as such to the reverse. The reverse has the trade mark for this firm in raised letters to the reverse just above the hook. The hook is soldered into the reverse of the badge and the hinge is placed in a counter sunk area and also soldered or braised. The front of the badge retains virtually all of it's original finish but this has been pulled into the badge giving it a very dull and lifeless appearance which sounds far worse than it is. Unfortunately the scan doesn't do it justice, as the write up sounds far worse than it is. Becoming hard to find, with only 13 or 14 Auxillary Cruiser's, this was one of the smaller units in the German navy. GBP £300.00 (UK Pounds)
|
HIGH SEAS FLEET WAR BADGES Instituted 30.4.1941
|
(F686) A mid to late war example of a High Seas Fleet Award by the maker "RS." The award is marked as
such with a big raised R and S to the reverse and the reverse is the flat backed style. The badge retains very
little of the original gilt as this has been absorbed by the badge. The silver battle ship though, is rather nice,
giving it the original two toned affect the badge should have.
GBP £200.00 (UK Pounds) |
(G176) A High Seas Fleet Award by the premier maker Schwerin. The badge is the early style in very good condition. The swastika on this example appears to have taken a bash? And been professionally repaired. The maker's trade mark is in raised lettering to the reverse and it reads as such Fec Adolf Bock Ausf Schwerin Berlin.
GBP £200.00 (UK Pounds) |
(F1034) A nice early quality High Seas Fleet Badge by the well known maker Schwerin and marked as such in
raised capitals in two lines to the reverse. The badge also carries the designer's name as you would expect..
The badge is a very nice example with only very minor wear to the high points. It retains most of it's original
fire gilded finish, although this has toned. You can still see the remains of the burnishing on the swastika and
the bottom ribbon loop. A superb example, becoming increasingly hard to find. This is the type with the slightly
weakened 5th porthole. A very nice badge to find in this quality.
GBP £395.00 (UK Pounds) |
E BOAT BADGES Instituted 30.5.1941 For the First patterns and 1943
for the 2nd patterns
|
(F445) An E Boat Badge, the 1st Pattern type in mid war zinc construction with a silver and gilt wash
finish applied. The silver has been absorbed in places, leaving a pale grey zinc and the gilt has also darkened
with age. The badge other than this is in very nice condition and is an unmarked example. It has a vertical
pin, hook and hinge fitting and the badge is slightly convexed Scarce to find 1st pattern Eboat with most
being Schwerins.
GBP £ 650.00 (UK Pounds) |
(G550) A second pattern E-boat Badge by the well known maker Schwerin. The badge is maker marked with raised capital letters the following over two lines, first line "FEC W.E. PEEKHAUS and the second line AUSF SCHWERIN, BERLIN 68. The badge has the unusual feature of not having the cut out flag or swastika which has to my knowledge been found on every badge by this maker. The badge is of zinc construction and has the usual plating finish applied. This has bubbled in places and has peeled which is a fault common with this late war badge. The badge has a used and worn look to it as can be seen from the scan. This along with a few other items, was picked up by a British soldier at the end of the war and these have only recently come onto the market. In vgc scarce. GBP £ 300.00 (UK Pounds) |
COASTAL FLAK WAR BADGES Instituted on 24.6.1941
|
- (E1025) A believed French made, Coastal Artillary badge. The badge is of zinc construction and has lost virtually
all of it's original gilt and silvered finish. The top hook is also missing but the quality of the die striking is
very good and it still has it's original hook and French type of pin. All in all, a scarce variation to acquire.
GBP 200.00 (UK Pounds) |
|
(E161) A mid war Coastal Artillary badge by the premier maker of Schwerin and marked as such with the added location of Berlin in raised letters to the reverse..The badge retains some of it's original gilded and silver finish and is the type that has the zinc bubbling up under the plating. (G881) A mid to late war Coastal Flak Badge in grey zinc with a gilt washed finish to the edge. The badge although unmarked is probably a Hermann Aurich example as it has a clamped in hinge and hook always used by this maker on this badge. Nice quality die striking, the award has minimal wear.
GBP £110.00 (UK Pounds) |
(G882) A mid to late war Coastal Flak Badge in grey zinc with a gilt washed finish to the edge. The badge has a separately applied hinge with a counter sunk hook. The front of the award shows good detail with traces of the original lacquer to the coastal artillary gun. Nice to find.
GBP £110.00 (UK Pounds) |
(G962) A Coastal Artillary badge by the well known maker Hermann Aurich. The badge has all the features you come to expect from this maker, consisting of a countersunk hinge and hook, with the usual crimping of the hinge. A maker's mark of the HA just above the hook, completes the award. The award retains most of it's original finish, although this has faded over the years, but the flat gun still retains it's protective lacquering as does the badge, giving it a pale two toned appearance Very nice to find. GBP £110.00 (UK Pounds) |
(G1218)A mid to late war nicely made Coastal Artiliary Badge By the Premier Maker Schwerin Berlin. The badge is marked as such in two lines in raised letters. As is usual with these late war badges, the gilt has been pulled in, leaving it a silver colour around the wreath and a more defined colour to the centre. Nice quality as you would expect from such a maker. Becoming hard to find. GBP £150.00 (UK Pounds) |
(G1351) A mid war example of a Coastal Artillery Badge. The badge is unmarked but is probably a Hermann Aurich as it has the features usually associated with this maker, ie a counter sunk hook and a crimped in hinge. The badge retains approximately 95% of it's gilt finish. Although this has been pulled in giving it a chocolate bronze appearance. Also the silver portion showing the flak gun appears to retain a high percentage of it's original factory applied lacquer. Manufactured from fine zinc, the badge has no white salts as often found on these badges. GBP £100.00 (UK Pounds)
