(J1827) A nice chromed NSKK Car Badge. The badge was removed from a German car in a garage in the Cologne area by a British serviceman just after the war as a souvenier. Unfortunately when he removed the award, he broke the bottom mount by cutting it out, thus loosening it so he could twist the badge around and remove it. The badge is RZM marked to the base of the swastika on the front of the badge. A very nice example with very minimal wear to the front. An unusual item to find. For an illustration of this type of badge, it is shown in the book NSKK NSFK Uniforms Organizations and History by J R Angolia and David Littlejohn on page 266 where an identical example is shown. (K170) A group of unusual items being a set of Pipes manufactured during WWII still stuck on their original card. The pipes consist of 6 wood and bakerlite pipes, some with intricate bowl designs, others, plain. I believe the elastic that holds them in place has been replaced. Each pipe is maker marked and this corresponds to the card's maker. I cannot say whether these pipes would actually work now and are selling them as a curio as opposed to endorsing the use of them. Very unusual items. The card has the photograph of a Luftwaffe Airman using a pipe. A very unusual item and a very interesting social history item. A great talking point.

GERMAN EDGED WEAPONS, DAGGERS & CUTLERY

(F935) A German Bayonet being a dress type with a stag horn grip and chrome handle. The bayonet comes with it's black leather frog and this has been highly polished and buffed and is now quite fragile. The blade on the bayonet is slightly loose and as a result, rattles and it is marked WCK and shows the head of a knight. The blade is also etched with an eagle and swastika, some oak leaves and wording being ERINNERUNG AN MEINE DIENSTZEIT. The black scabbard is also in vgc and all in all, a nice parade bayonet GBP £450.00 (UK Pounds)

(J1215) A very nice condition Hitler Youth Dagger. The scabbard retains approximately 90% of it's paint finish. The leather for the strap is marked LFS on an oakleaf backing and the strap is nice and clean without any cracking or splitting except for one part on the catch and the other at the top on the fold. The dagger blade is virtually mint with only the usual rubbing where it has been opened and closed. It is marked Blut Und Ehre and the reverse is marked RZM M7/421937 with the picture of a helmeted knight and part of the logo. The blade is in near mint condition and is unsharpened and unmessed about with. The dagger handle retains much of it's original chrome finish with only wear in a couple of spots with the worst being on the finger guard. The enamelled emblem is nice and tight as is the blade to the handle and the handle has no splitting to the black bakerlite. The blade shows the cross graining effect. Probably one of the best HJ daggers available on the market at the moment.

GBP £500.00 (UK Pounds)

(J1216) A nice used example of an Hitler Youth Dagger. The dagger blade is loose in the handle, a common fault with these riveted items. The blade is also marked RZM M7/36 and shows some sharpening wear and a couple of nips to the blade. The black chequer grip is nice and complete and unmessed around with. There is some minor plating wear to the handle where the button clip meets at the top and the back rubs on the crossguard hilt. I think the scabbard at some time has been repainted but the leather looks to be original. The dagger is a nice example in good condition and reasonably priced.

GBP £200.00 (UK Pounds)

(J1451) A Hitler Youth Membership Dagger in very good condition. The blade is still tight to the handle and this has two bakerlite grips held by two rivets. The plating though to the handle, has worn back to the base metal. The hitler youth diamond rocks in the base but is still fairly tight and has no cracks to the enamel. The blade is unmottoed and maker marked RZM M7/36 and the blade itself it clean and tidy, although there is some minor pitting to the tip. The scabbard shows wear and tear and has only approximately 80% of it's black paint finish. The black leather is ok and is maker marked with an LFS stamped onto an oakleaf. The pop stud is also intact, this could do with a little oil or baby oil rubbed into the leather. A nice honest HJ dagger, these are becoming increasingly hard to find. This one is unmessed about with.

GBP £285.00 (UK Pounds)

(J1214) A German WWII DLV/NSFK Dagger. The dagger is in good condition with most of it's leather on the grip and the scabbard. The bottom tip of the scabbard shows a couple of dings and bashes and the tip has been bent in. The leather strap I think has been replaced by someone although it does match the original design etc. The dagger scabbard has all the screws intact and has the throat marked for a DVL dagger. The dagger itself has a K stamped into the arm of the cross guard. The enamel to the crossguard is ok, although one side appears to be chipped but not too badly. The blade is in clean condition and maker marked Josef Brotterode Munchen. A nice early dagger to acquire, it isn't too bad but no way a mint example. Priced for condition
