(J1827) A nice chromed NSKK Car Badge. The badge was removed from a German car in a garage in the Cologne area by a British serviceman just after the war as a souvenier. Unfortunately when he removed the award, he broke the bottom mount by cutting it out, thus loosening it so he could twist the badge around and remove it. The badge is RZM marked to the base of the swastika on the front of the badge. A very nice example with very minimal wear to the front. An unusual item to find. For an illustration of this type of badge, it is shown in the book NSKK NSFK Uniforms Organizations and History by J R Angolia and David Littlejohn on page 266 where an identical example is shown. An unusal and interesting talking point. |
