(E106) A very impressive German Eagle Order Breast Star. The star is in nice condition, although there is a tiny enamel flake chip to one of the arms on the internal V where it looks like it has been caught on something. All it has done, is flaked off a small piece of enamel but not deep, only the top coat lacquered part. The Cross is marked to the reverse "Silber" and "800" and has two lead ball rivets. The award with this marking puts it at an early date, probably the start of manufacture of these awards. This is actually mentioned in volume 3 of Forman's price guide that the 800 marked ones are the first original issue type. A very impressive award. GBP £1250.00
