(F1472) A nice Observer's Badge in Case of Issue. The award is maker marked to the reverse in two lines P Meybauer Berlin and the badge has most of the silver finish to the wreath The blackened eagle retains a high proportion of it's oxidised finish and the burnished swastika also retains a high proportion of it's finish although it has some aging blisters that have lifted the plating from the swastika. The case is a nice early style with the wording printed in three lines, to the lid being Luftwaffen Beobachter then next line Abzeichen. To the underside of the lid is blue silk with a blue flocked base with a cut out for the pin and hinge. The badge fits nice and snugly inside the box. The base card has the KB code to the underside when opened up. All in all, a very nice item. GBP £800.00
