  • (F692) A cased Set of Awards from WWI consisting of two first war Iron Crosses 1914,
one being convexed and the other flat backed. Both the crosses have nice cores and it
would appear that the convexed one was the one worn as there is slight powder rusting to
the centre crown and date. This is only really apparent on the case, as it has stained the
silk more than it shows on the cross. The convexed cross is also pin marked but I cannot read
it. Then there is the Prussian Centenery Medal for 1897, an Iron Cross 2nd class, a Fredrich
August Bravery Medal and a Fredrich August King of Saxon Sergeant Bravery Medal, large size.
These are all set into a maroon coloured case, with a blue silken inner lid and blue lift out
base, with cut outs for the awards. To the base of the case, there is a Urkunde for the Fredrich
August Medal and a piece of ribbon for one of the medals. A very unusual set, probably for an NCO.
All in all, very good condition considering the age.GBP £550.00
