  • (F936) A nice and scarce example of a cased War Merit Cross 1st class with swords
    being a privately purchased example, in late war zinc. The cross has had a silver
    finish applied and still retains a high percentage of this. The cross is contained in
    it's LDO card box of mid war construction and has a circular cut out to take the screw
    disc. The screw disc on this cross is marked L58 for the firm of Rudolf Souval denoting it
    is a private purchase example. This is also confirmed with the underside of the case
    carrying the LDO mark The case has no exernal markings and is of card construction with a
    paper hinge and imitation cloth hinge protector. All in all, vgc.GBP £175.00
