(G1498) A Bavarian silvered Pilots badge, being of hollow clinch construction with a rayed cover to the back. The badge has a nice pin fixing and is maker marked to the reverse "CARL POLLATH SCHROBENHAUSEN" and "SILBER". It is contained in it's original brown plain paper packet with full manufacturer's name to reverse. " CARL POLLATH" Very hard to find a nice early silver original example. This one is exceedingly hard to get as it has the Bavarian Crown, instead of the more often encountered Prussian Crown. In near mint condition, the award has toned over the years.
