(G61) A Cased War Merit Cross 1st class With Swords. The cross is a nice early tombak style with burnihsed and polished highlights showing. There is some minor oxidisation to the oxidised pebbling of the infills of the war merit cross arms but this is not a problem as it would probably clean out with a gentle clean if you wish to do so. Personally I would suggest leaving it alone. The cross is contained in a two piece hinged and opened by a rectangle press stud, black leatherette case, that has a silver blocked outline of the war merit cross with swords stamped to the lid, which is infilled with silver. The case externally is very clean and internally, the cross case is also very clean with only some mild impression marks to the white silk under lid of the roundel and swastika. The black flocked base is nice and clean and the silk hinge cover is also 100% intact. This is one of the best examples we have had to offer in a long time. GBP £250.00
