(G805) A nice early heavy tombak and Silver Metal Pilots Badge in it's Case of Issue. The badge is maker marked Juncker and retains a high proportion of it's original blackened and oxidised finish. The swastika has some minor scratching and knocking as can be seen from the scan, which is more a sign of useage than a sign of a de-nazification attempt. The wreath is a nice heavy nickel style and the eagle is held to the wreath by two nice flat domed rivets. The award is maker marked in two lines to the reverse C E Juncker Berlin and contained in a nice early case with the award designation to the top embossed in gold lettering. Opened by a magnetic press stud, the inside of the case is lined with blue silk and blue flocking. Very nice overall quality and condition, and increasingly hard to find such a lovely set.
