(J1823) A nice interesting German Luftwaffe Soldbuch to a Paratrooper amongst other units. The man's name was Walter Pagel and he served from the beginning of the war in many different units ending up in a Fallschirmschule No. 4. The soldbuch is well filled out with many many entries. He was also awarded several decorations including the wound badge, iron cross and the luftwaffe ground combat badge and the russian front medal I think, please check the scan, the writing is very hard to decipher. There is also a licence for him to carry a pistol in Paris on the 9.3.44. This is one of many of interesting entries found in the book. The soldiers photograph has been removed and subsequently replaced, I don't know why this has been done but the wear and tear looks consistent with it just being moved over.
