(K29) A Nice example of the Zinc manufactured Gausieger badge for 1944 being the war utility type. The badge is often referred to as the HJ trade badge. This example is nicely maker marked to the reverse for the maker G Brehmer Markneukirchen in raised digits. The example is nicely painted with no paint damage to it. Given for varying years, 1944 was the last year these badges were issued, with the earlier badges being of enamel, it was a natural progression that these awards would be painted like the party badges. An example of this badge can be found in the book Labour Organizations of the Third Reich by J R Angolia and David Littlejohn on page 528 where they discuss the manufacturer's marks and show this reverse. Also this badge can be seen in the Forman Price Guide Vol 3 on page 288 where he gives a value of $500 back in 2001. GBP £225.00 (UK Pounds)
