German National Sports Badge of the D.R.L. 1937-1945 (With Swastika) IN GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE

(J750) A DRL Sports Badge being the type manufactured by Wernstein Jena and has all the features associated with this maker being of early quality metal with nicely fretted out lettering.The German troops were encouraged to earn this badge as it gave them extra prestige. Often seen in wartime photographs. This item was found in a house clearance in Germany. GBP £40.00 (UK Pounds)

(J978) A nice example of a DRL Sports Badge in Bronze. The award is in good overall condition. Given for sporting prowess, it was a requirement of the German armed forces, that soldiers obtained this badge. Very often seen on photographs on uniforms, it was regarded highly. GBP £40.00 (UK Pounds)

(J1426) A nice mid war example of a DRL Sports Badge in Bronze. The badge is constructed of fine zinc that has had a bronze wash applied over it. This has now toned to an olive green colour. The badge is fully maker marked to the reverse of Wernstein Jena. Given for sports that was military based, soldiers of the Wehrmacht were all encouraged to qualify for this badge. (J1485) A nice early Bronze DRL Sports Badge. The badge is maker marked Ernst Muller Pforzheim, a maker not often encountered on these badges. The badge has nice fretted out work of the lettering and is complete with a working pin and hook. Very good condition. Recently acquired from a German house clearance agent, the cross was in amongst a pile of Luftwaffe and NSFK insignia GBP £40.00 (UK Pounds)

(K191) A nice Early example of a Bronze DRL Sports Badge. The award is in a dark bronze colour with nicely fretted out work for the letters of DRL. To the reverse, the badge is maker marked DRGM35269 as well as Wernstein Jena. Given for sporting prowess, all soldiers were required to qualify for this award. GBP £40.00 (UK Pounds)

(K1437) A DRL Sports Award in Bronze. The award is in good used condition. The pin has been highly customised by it's previous owner with little ripples down it to hold it from falling out of the tunic. The badge has some nice fretted work and is maker marked Wernstein Jena. Nice to find. GBP £40.00 (UK Pounds)

(L721) A Black and Bronze woven D.R.L Sports Badge. This is the style that was worn on the blazer on the left breast pocket at sports meetings etc. The badge appears to be the bronze grade. It is unmounted and unworn. Scarce to find nowadays. GBP £30.00 (UK Pounds)

(D1088) A DRL/NRSL Silver Eagle style of stickpin with the wording LEHR WART to the base of the eagles feet. The eagle is unmarked and a stick pin type decoration. In vgc.

(J1379) Sold as individuals, but part of a roll that were brought back from Berlin by a British soldier in 1945 and has been stored away up until now, the DRL Woven Badge in Silver is in virtually mint condition. The badge was worn on the blazer of DRL holders who had completed in sports events and got to a set grade. This badge has both the bevo barmen name and Ges Gesch in white threads to the base. Not often encountered in such good condition. GBP £20.00 (UK Pounds)

Type 1. Has the inscription
"Eigentum des Chefs des Ausdildungswesens"
(Property of the Head of Physical Conditioning) and dates from 1934-35
Type 2. Has the inscription
"Eigentum der SA-Sportabzeichen-Hauptstelle"
(Property of the SA Sport Badge Head Department) and dates from 1935-1939
Type 3. Has the inscription "Eigentum der
Obersten SA-Fuhrung" (Property of the SA Supreme Command)
and dates from 1939 -1944

(E607) An SA Sports badge for War Wounded. The badge is a nice zine issue which is maker marked to the reverse RZM M1/100 and as with most of these, the bronze lacquer has peeled off to show the base zinc metal under the bronze. A scarce badge to acquire.
