    (G1299) A rare hollow back Silver cut out Imperial German Wound Badge with a screwback fitting and anti rotation post. The badge has been used and worn in service and as such has some silver plate wear and tear which is only to be expected. A scarce variation to find.

    BLACK WOUND BADGES

    (H1326) A nice example of an original issue German WWI Steel Back Wound Badge. The badge retains a high proportion of it's original black painted finish and is magnetic. There is no makers mark to the badge I can see.

    SPANISH STYLE WOUND BADGES

    (H1258) A Black Spanish Wound Badge retaining approximately 40% of it's original black finish. The badge is steel and has darkened. Complete with it's pin and hinge fittings, the badge is unmarked. Scarce to find.

    WWII TYPE WOUND BADGES
    IN GOLD for 5 or more

    (G1309) A Gold Wound Badge being of late war zinc manufacture with approximately 65% of it's gilt paint to the front remaining and very little to the reverse. The reverse is maker marked L/14 and shows that the badge was once silvered before the gold paint was applied which would make this more of an ersatz badge. Scarce to find. GBP £85.00 ..

    (H424) A nice mid to late war Gold Wound Badge by the well known maker No. 30. The badge is gilt washed. This has faded and been worn as can be seen from the scan. With only approximately 70% gilt remaining. The badge has the cast in hinge and hook often associated with this maker. Given for 5 or more wounds, the award is a hard to find example.

  • (B269) A Silver Wound badge being a mid war type with silver plating applyed over bass zinc. This is bubbling up on the reverse. The badge is maker marked "107" for Carl Wild of Hamburg.

  • (B1211) Silver Wound badge with a cast in hinge and hook. In vgc and unmarked. Mid war type.

    (F1405) A nice example of a standard issue Silver Wound Badge by the maker 107 for Carl Wilde of Hamburg. The award is the later zinc style that has a silver plating applied and has a countersunk hinge and hook. The award has minor wear and tear as can be seen from the scan, but still in very good condition.

    (F1406) A rare example of a Silver Hollow back Wound Badge being the last issue type or replacement type. The badge has a nice quality silver plate finish applied, and although it has a few age stains to it, the silver plating is virtually all intact. No maker's mark can be seen on this example.

    (G923) A mid war Silver Wound Badge by the well known maker Carl Wild which is maker marked 107 in an oval cartouche plate with the numbers raised. Both the hinge and hook are countersunk and the badge shows approximately 70% of it's original silver wash with grey zinc coming through.

    (H51) A Silver Wound Badge maker marked L/57. The badge is in good used condition. . The badge appears to be modelled on the No. 30 type of the earlier Vienna state mint, although L/57 is attributed to a Berlin maker. Unusual to find, this maker is very hard to acquire. This badge was part of a group of items taken at the end of the war by a British officer GBP

    (H71) A Silver Wound Badge late war zinc unmarked and in good used condition The badge was tatken at the end of the war by a British Soldier and kept as a keep sake

    (H1559) A mid war Silver Wound Badge in good condition. The badge has a cast in hinge and hook The pin appears to be maker marked and unfotunately the cast in tip of the hook has been snapped. Priced for this

    (H1343) A mid to late war Silver Wound Badge. The badge is a maker marked No. 30 and has been used and worn in service. The badge retains some of it's original finish and appears to have been lacquered to the high points as can be seen from the scan. All in all, a nice example of a textbook marked 30 Wound Badge with cast in hinge and hook.

    BLACK WOUND BADGES

    (H1344) A Black Wound Badge being in very nice condition. The badge has been used and worn and is an early 1st pattern type constructed of brass. The black paint finish is approximately 85% intact to the front and the black paint finish was not applied to the reverse.

    (J63) A nice near mint example of a Black Wound Badge by the maker L/56 and marked as such under the hinge. Scarce to find these LDO badges especially in this condition.

    1957 TYPE WOUND BADGES

    (H1438) A nice heavy quality 1957 Gold Wound Badge being in near mint condition. The badge retains all of it's original gold colour and is probably a 1960's manufactured example. Scarce to find.

    (H1439) A nice heavy quality 1957 Silver Wound Badge being in near mint condition. The badge retains all of it's original silver colour and is probably a 1960's manufactured example. Scarce to find.

    (H1440) A nice heavy quality 1957 Black Wound Badge being in near mint condition. The badge retains all of it's original black painted finish and is probably a 1950's manufactured example using wartime hinge and hook components. First one encountered like this in about 15 years.. Scarce to find.
