1957 AWARDS

(V2134) A Superb example of a replacement German 1957 Russian Front Medal. The award is actually harder to find than its wartime counterpart, as obviously fewer servicemen rejoined the German military and claimed their new third reich counterparts. This example rivals the quality and construction of its wartime brother, with a nice silver and gunmetal finish. The loop is unmarked. This is a quality constructed item, complete with a piece of original third reich ribbon. This will finalise any Eastern front medal collection. GBP £85.00 (UK Pounds)

(V673) A German Replacement 1957 War Merit Cross 2nd Class With Swords being an Early construction piece that is identical to the original wartime issue apart from having the swastika removed. The item is of good quality and construction and complete with an original piece of wartime ribbon. This item was issued considerably less than its wartime counterpart, as fewer soldiers were around to claim it. GBP £50.00 (UK Pounds)

 (CS1851) A German Replacement 1957 Coastal Artillery Badge in nice overall condition. The badge has a nice gilded edge with a blackened sea and a silver coastal gun. Nice quality '57 fittings and becoming scarce to find. GBP £60.00 (UK Pounds)

 (V641) A what is believed to be commercially made German Naval Combat Clasp. The clasp is hollow pressed bronze metal of nice quality and construction that has been hollow stamped with a nice pin, hinge and hook fitting to the reverse. The pin is the broad bladed type often found on u-boat clasps and combat clasps etc. The clasp is devoid of any manufacturer's marks. The clasp is often passed off as wartime, though we are of the opinion it is of post war construction. GBP £125.00

(P93) A Scarce example of a 1957 Luftwaffe Tank Badge. This is of two-piece construction and has the flying eagle glued to the wreath. The badge is of nice quality and dates from the 1960 period. These badges are quite scarce to find as many people have converted them to pass them off as their third reich counterparts. In very nice condition and one of the harder 1957 badges to acquire. (V3001) A Nice brass stamped gilded Post War German Issue Lappland Shield being the re-issue 1957 type. The shield is complete with all four edge tabs and is a very nice striking. Scarce to find these Early original 1957 shields. A lot of these are passed off as original wartime ones. GBP £50.00 (UK Pounds)

(V3302) A Nice and scarcely encountered German E-boat Badge 2nd type, the 1957 version. Very few of these badges have been made with few German servicemen and servicewomen returning from the third reich to the bundesweir. This example when purchased, came with an iron cross and black wound badge as well as a German navy honour roll clasp, so probably could be traced, as few honour roll clasps were issued to the navy. We have decided to sell these award separately, so this is just for the E-boat. More scarce than its third reich counterpart

(CS1847) A Nice example of the scarce to acquire 1957 Gold Balloon Badge. The badge retains virtually all of its original gilt finish although there has been a spill over of the solder used to fix the hook and pin. The badge other than this is in very good condition and has a nice gilt finish applied. Scarce to find as few soldiers survived to claim these with fewer rejoining the West German army.  (V3901) A nice example of a scarce to find German Post War made replacement 1957 Iron Cross 2nd Class for 1939. The cross is of standard quality and construction with a silver frame encompassing a non iron core. The cross is in near mint condition with only minor tarnish to the silver. Complete with a piece of post war ribbon. A nice example, becoming hard to find. SORRY I SOLD IN JANUARY 2025 FOR GBP £140.00 (UK Pounds)
