(CS1371) A War Merit Cross 2nd Class Without Swords. The cross is of an Early construction with a separately applied eyering soldered to the V of the arm. The ribbon loop is unmarked, but as the cross came from a salesman''s board for the firm of Assmann, it is probable that this was made by the same company. The cross is of good quality and was given for acts of bravery by people who were not in the military but in other uniformed services. GBP 35.00 (UK Pounds)

(CS1514) A War Merit Cross 2nd Class Without Swords. It is a mid war example of the bronze/zinc variety. This example has stained, as can be seen from the scan, but is still in nice overall condition. The ribbon on this has been mounted onto a piece of card and stapled together. GBP 25.00 (UK Pounds)

(MC709) A War Merit Cross 2nd Class Without Swords, being a standard bronze example with a separately applied eye ring. The ribbon loop is maker marked 52. A nice slim Early type. Given to civilians who showed bravery in a non combatant capacity. These crosses were often awarded to Red Cross, Railway workers etc. GBP 35.00 (UK Pounds)

(MC827) A War Merit Cross 2nd Class Without Swords. The cross has been pulled from a medal ribbon bar and still has some of the ribbon attached. We will of course supply with a new piece of wartime ribbon. The cross is marked 11 to the ring and is a nice Early quality thin stamping that shows die shear marks all the way around the edge. Nice to find, especially a marked example. GBP 37.50 (UK Pounds)

(S213) A Nice example of a used and worn War Merit Cross 2nd Class Without Swords. The cross is the one piece zinc cast type that has lost most of its original bronze finish. The cross has a bronzed ribbon ring fitted and comes with an original piece of ribbon. The cross is now a light grey colour, but other than this, it is in very good condition. Priced for loss of colouring. GBP 20.00 (UK Pounds)

(S235) A War Merit Cross 2nd Class Maker Marked No 65 on the Ribbon Ring. The cross is the later zinc type, and has a nice quality bronze plating applied. The cross is in very good condition and was given for civilian service to the German war effort. The ribbon loop as stated, is maker marked 65 for the firm of Qlein and Quenzer a well known manufacturer of the knight's Cross. It comes with an original piece of full length ribbon.
