(MC39) A Very scarce to find Air Defence Medal 1st Class being a zinc issue that is gold or fire gilded. This has flaked in places coming through to the base grey zinc. Very scarce award to find. This is the Steinhauer and Luck type with the little bridge fixing. This was part of a group picked up by someone who was obviously in charge of de-nazification or had light fingers! (S933) An Air Defence Medal 2nd Class. This is the lightweight type and is complete with its original ribbon and pin. The medal has been mounted for wear, with the pin sewn to the ribbon. (S992) A Cased example of a Luftschultz 2nd Class Medal being the later heavier zinc type. This example is in very good condition and hasn't oxidised or tarnished like most do. The award is complete with its original ribbon, but the pin is missing. It is contained in its original case that has the front lip at the top missing. Other than this, it is in good condition and has protected the medal well. Within the box, there is also a Luftschultz RLB Day Badge, showing aircraft over a house with the RLB logo. Nice to find.
