(CS387) A Nice OND Silver Medallion showing a muscular man with a fasces and the letters OND. To the other side, it has the Milano shield and some wording as well as an 800 silver mark and maker's mark. GBP 40.00 (UK Pounds)

(CS53) An Italian Silver Medallion with a heraldic coat of arms to one side and a small space for engraving to the reverse, with a fasces symbol. Nice condition. GBP 25.00 (UK Pounds)

(CS477) An Italian Russian Front Badge being the type showing the two Russian sabers over a FRONTE RUSSO with above the royal knot of savoy. The badge is maker marked to the reverse and has a pin soldered to it. Scarce to find.

(CS376) A Small Italian PNF Medal being about 26 mm in dia. It shows the date of 1925 and a Roman legion standard holding a fasces and a fasces to the other with the letters PNF. The award has a piece of red, white and green ribbon sewn to it.

(CS378) A nice Italian art deco designed Blackshirt Brigade Medal for the 1st division. The medal is dated 23MARZO 1919 and shows some fasces and Roman standards to one side as well as 1DIV.CCNN with to the other side, the Roman eagle and fasces and the wording IMPLACABILE. The award has no medal ribbon and is approximately 30 mm wide.

(CS381) An Italian March on Rome Medal being of standard construction and condition. It shows the winged angel with the laurel leaf amongst standards and fasces to one side and the date and Marcia Roma to the other. Nice to find.

(CS382) A nice little Italian Mussolini Medal showing Mussolini's head to one side and the fasces to the other. It is about 28 mm in dia and looks like a Roman Coin. There is no ribbon with this award. The medal is in good condition.

(CS388) An Italian DUX Silver Medallion showing Mussolini's head wearing a steel helmet and the wording DUX and a fasces. The other side shows again DUX and a fasces. The medallion appears to be silver although I cannot see any hallmark.

Article on the German Russian Front Volunteer Awards (part 2)

(J1673) A nice example of an Italian Colonial Medal showing both the head of an Italian and an Ethiopian native, with the Ethiopian native wearing the local headdress. The medal also shows some captured arms to the reverse and the title for Ethiopia and Italy.

(K233) An Italian Medal being the type often encountered for Addis Abeba and shows a colonial troop running carrying a rifle and a machete and wearing a fez. It also has the country of Eritreo mentioned. To the reverse, it lists all the battle honours ans shows the fasces and the savoy knot and lists the battalions taking part in the campaign. Complete with a piece of ribbon, I am unsure whether this is the correct ribbon or not.

(L384) An Italian Anti-Aircraft Medal being a bronze circular medal with an archer holding a bow with an arrow pointing straight up and the wording MILIZIA ARTIGLIERIA CONTRAEREI to one side and an unusual design to the reverse with the wording LARES ET ORAS IN HORA TVEBIMVR. It also has the designers name of DE MARCHIS to it. A nice and unusual item.

(L724) An Italian Wound Badge of early quality bronze plated metal. The badge shows a star to the top and the Italian coat of arms to the bottom with a ball to the centre with some wording on it. The badge measures about 3 cm high by 2 cm wide. It has had its pin repaired. Priced for condition. Formerly in Gordon Williamsons personal collection

(L1270) A Nice circular style Italian Regimental Medal modelled on an imperial roman coin. One side shows a Britannia style figure sitting over a shield and holding a spear with the lettering 1 ADUNATA NAZ.9 MAGGIO XVII ROMA, with to the other side the Italian crown, eagle and shield holding a fasces and the wording UNIONE NAZ UFFICIALI IN CONGEDO D'ITALIA. Believed to be an Italian officers regimental service medal. In very good condition.

(M1388) An Italian 70 Year Commemorative Medal for the unification of Italy. The medal is in very nice condition. Scarce to find. An unusual item.

(N110) An Italian GIL Youth's Decoration being a chrome, silver and red enamel cross. The red enamel although bruised, is not chipped. The cross shows considerable wear and tear and has it's original ribbon sewn up as used and worn. Becoming hard to find.

(N139) A Nice Bronze Italian Colonial Unit Medal showing a soldier with a rifle and machete running and the units 79 and 77 as well as the lettering Aritreo. To the reverse, you have the Italian battle honours ending in Addis Abeba. A nice medal to acquire.

(N140) An Italian Officers Medal for the conference in Rome. The medal is modelled on the old imperial Roman coins and is pleasing in design.

(N885) An Italian ex-Colonial Combatants Medal for 1934 complete with ribbon , A nice and scarce to find award. It shows to the front an Italian soldiers head and shoulders wearing a pith helmet and to the reverse, it shows the towers of Napili and is dated 1934.

(N906) A large size Italian Medallion being 60 mm in diameter. The medallion is for the 9th army and shows the Albanian double headed eagle and the knots of savoy around the edge and the Albanian national hat and to the other side, mountains, with a fasces, a crown and a list of campaigns for Greece and Yugoslavia from 28th October 1940 to 23rd April 1941. A very nice and unusual item of very nice unusual quality and design. With this award, comes the medal with the same design. All in very good condition.

(N1158) A Nice and unusual example of an Italian Colonial Medal as issued to the Battalian Arabo Somalo and as such, the medal shows a red enamelled bar across the centre with this wording and then below this, it lists their battle honours. To the other side, it shows an Italian Askari wearing a fez holding a rifle and flag. A very rare award dating from the colonial pre-WWII period.
