Third Reich Medals offer
A Used Iron Cross 1st Class in its case of issue for 1939-1945

(CS1131) A Nice example of an issued and awarded Iron Cross 1st Class. The cross comes with its original award Case and shows moderate wear and tear. There is no damage to the swastika or core. The frame in my opinion, has had a knock at the 6 0 clock righthand side on the corner, as there is a crack along the joint now. The frame most of its black finish, with the silver frame oxidising black in places. This would all probably clean if so wished, but as it has a nice overall look, I personally, would leave it alone. To the reverse, a third of the way down the pin at the widest poin, you have the No 65 stamped into it, for the well known firm of Klein and Quenzer. The hinge, pin and hook all work perfectly. The cross comes in its original domed award case that has an off-white silk under lid which is light beige flocked base cloth. To the underside of this, when lifted out, there is the well known impressed D & B mark, with the number 2957 stamped in. The box as stated, is the domed type, with a good working hinge and hook, which snaps shut when closed, holding the box nice and tight. The hinge and press stud are magnetic, and you have the outline of the cross in silver embossed to the lid. A very nice example to find. Priced for cracking. GBP 299.00 (U.K. POUNDS)
