A Early & Very Nice example of a Rudolf Souval Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords

(MC977) A Very Nice example of a Rudolf Souval Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords . The cross is in near mint condition and is nicely soldered up on the frame. The frame has no flaws and has the usual features that you would find on the Souval cross, like the dipping eye etc. This cross is marked "800" to the reverse arm of the cross. The cross has a low swastika as is the case for a Souval. In my opinion, the cross was manufactured very shortly after the war. It has been ascerted that Souval did supply crosses for displays during the war, but as such, none have come to light from any major reliable source, despite being highly probable. The Oak Leaves and swords are also "800" silver marked and this is found on the loop, The Oak leaves and swords are very early being solid in construction and are of superb quality. The hilts have the six berries, and the Oaks are more a copy of the diamond type than the smaller original Godet type. All in all a superb set.SORRY I AM ON HOLD GBP 1250.00 (UK Pounds)
