A Rare to Find, German 50 Year Faithful Service Cross

(NCI235) A Very Nice example of the Rare to find Cased German 50 Year Faithful Service Cross. The cross is complete with all it's original burnished gold finish and the silver has started to tone over the years, giving it a very pleasing appearance. The enamel centre is very nice with no chips, scratches or dings and the ribbon to this example is also nice, clean and complete with it's original pin. The reverse has the fur treue arbeit logo in raised letters, which is still showing signs of it's original burnished finish. The award comes in it's original case which has the 50 gold emblem embossed to the lid in between two oak leaves and the red case shows the usual handling wear. The inside has the silk hinge split as is normal and a red pen marker to a tiny portion of the underside of the white silk lid. The two part partitioned red flock base, is nice and clean. The whole look is very very nice. Very scarce nowadays, you had to serve 50 years in the private sector to qualify for this award, with them being given out annually as opposed to the 25 and 40 year versions, which were given out locally. The hardest one of the set of three to acquire, these are not turning up as often as they used to. GBP 495.00 (UK Pounds)
