A German High Seas Fleet Badge
(S206) A Nice example of the 1st type Fredrich Orth High Seas Fleet Badge. The badge has the separately applied hinge and hook soldered to the reverse, of a domed badge back, with the lettering FO to the centre reverse. To the front, the badge shows a battleship coming straight at you, encompassed by a gilt wreath, with a winged eagle holding a swastika. Due to the manufacturer's doming, the badge has a nice 3D effect. The wreath has turned a pale yellow, and still retains much of the gold to the reverse, showing the badge has been worn and used. Other than this, the battleship is a nice dark colour and there is good definition and good contrast. A very nice badge to acquire. GBP £225.00 (UK Pounds)
