A German WWII Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939
(S735) An Iron Cross 2nd Class for 1939, having the mark L/16 to it. The cross is nicely soldered up and retains most of its all of its original frosted and burnished finish. The cross comes complete with a piece of original ribbon and is in its LDO privately purchased Case of Issue. The LDO case is the two-piece paper hinged type of dark manufacture, with LDO under the lid and a pale orange flocked inner with cut out to take the cross. The cross sits in nicely. To the base, there are a couple of pieces of writing as well as a couple of sticky labels that have been stuck on and then removed. Nothing too serious. One of the harder LDO crosses to acquire.
