A British Made Iron Cross
(T395) A Propaganda British made Iron Cross from WWI. These iron crosses were used as a slur against the Germans and many show skulls, crossbones, as well as other derogatory symbols. This example has place names on each of the corners such as Antwerp, Ghent, Dinant, on the front with the date 1914 and a W and Cross and to the other side, again a cross a W, the date 1914 and then the places Rheims, Louvain, Amiens. All places the Germans took over etc. These crosses are quite collectable, with many variations, and are incredibly hard to find now. In very good condition. A great talking point GBP £27.50(UK Pounds)
