(V212) A German LDO replacement Black Wound Badge marked L/16. The badge is the Earlier bronzed black painted type commonly called the 1st Issue. This example has been worn and used as can be seen, there is quite a bit of paintwear to the front, including all paint removed from the swastika. To the reverse, there is a nice pin hinge and hook fitting, that is in working condition. To the base of the steel helmet on the lefthand side in raised digits, there is L/16. Very nice example to find, definitely one for the wound badge collectors. GBP £80.00 (UK Pounds)
