A German N.S.D.A.P 25 Year Party Long Service Cross
(V2496) A Nice example of a used and worn German NSDAP 25 Year Long Service Cross. The cross is the early heavier style made of several componants which are shellaced together. There is some tarnish to the eagle and swastika wear a sticker was used to cover the swastika, but nothing overly servious. The white enamel is unchipped although aged stained. Given for Service to the party, The award was back dated to when members joined and the time upto 1933 counted double as did the war years So if you were an earlyer party member from say 1923, your service to 1933 was 20 years, and then from 1934 to 1939 was 5 years , and from 1939 onwards it again counted double, So some awards are known.
