A German Waffen SS Runic NCO's Collar Patches
(V56) A nice Matched Pair of German Waffen SS Runic NCO's Collar Patches. To start with, there are silver bullion hand embroidered SS runes to the righthand patch. These have been overlaid on a template and although the runes have oxidised, it is still very nice. The patch has a nice black backing overlaid on a canvas style of backing cloth with the ends glued over. There is also the remains of stitching as can be seen from the scan. The other patch again, has a black wool backing, with two rank pips affixed through it, coming through the backing and then being folded over. The backing again is glue impregnated canvas, being of a rougher weave.
