A German SS 4 Year Service Medal in card award box

(CS2034) A Very Rare example of a German SS 4 Year Service Medal in its Case of Issue. The case has lost the front edge of the top part of the box and the paper hinge is torn but complete. To the lid, there is mouse white SS runes on a black base. The inside of the grey flocked box has two compartments, one for the blue ribbon and one for the SS 4 year service medal. The medal itself is a nice example and in virtually mint condition, retaining all of its blackened finish. Complete with a chamfered top eye ring and tear drop suspender loop. A superb textbook example that was removed from the Berlin Reich Chancellery by a British serviceman after the end of hostilities in June.
