A German Luftwaffe Observer's Badge

(NCI391) A German Luftwaffe Observer's Badge, maker marked Assmann & Sohn, being a nice Early heavy quality example. The badge is nicely convexed and there is a nice A mark to the reverse of the eagle in a raised letter of a stylised A. The badge is an early heavy nickel silver type with an oxidised silver eagle holding a polished swastika on a bright silver wreath. In beautiful condition, the badge has nice spun nipple rivets to the reverse, appearing to be of copper or brass. The hinge and hook work perfectly. One of the nicest badges seen in a while.
