A German WWII Gold Close Combat Clasp

(V2304) A Very Nice text book example of a German Army Gold Close Combat Clasp being of standard construction for the firm of A.G.M.u.K The clasp, as can be seen, has a high percentage of its gold finish intact. The clasp is complete with its back plate and has a cast in hinge and countersunk non magnetic hook. The reverse is also marked to the lefthand side "Fec W. E. Peekhaus Berlin" and then to the righthand side, the manufacturer's name of "Ausf. A G.M.u.K Gablonz". The back plate is of magnetic construction and is affixed nicely to the clasp by two central long lug presses. The clasp is complete with its original blueing to the back plate all as stated in the book. The pin, hinge and hook work perfectly. Very scarce to find now. These clasps have virtually disappeared from the market. This type of clasp is shown in the book "The German Close Combat Clasp of World War Two" by Thomas M Durante and shown on pages 82-83 where he states this maker mark variant is quite rare compared to its common mark counterparts. Size and weight are all within tolerance.
