A German Luftwaffe Air to Ground Combat Clasp (Schlachtflieger)

(V4765) A Rare to find German Luftwaffe Air to Ground Combat Clasp (Schlachtflieger) being manufactured in bronzed zinc with a metal crossed swords emblem rivetted to the centre. The badge which appears to have been used and worn is in nice condition for such a hard clasp to find. The badge is maker marked in raised letters to the reverse RS &S (A known maker for this type of clasp) and the hinge and hook are crimped into position with a ball hinge and needle pin. Very scarce to find as these clasps were instituted on 12th April 1944, giving them only a short run for manufacture. Text book in every way
